Let’s Write Together

Devoid is Las Vegas’ premier indie arts and culture magazine, revitalizing literary journalism since 2023. In a city where the world comes to play, we illuminate the diverse voices and emergent subcultures rooted here. Through innovative, Gonzo-spirited storytelling, raw art, and alternative perspectives, we eschew traditional journalistic rules in favor of bold, human narratives.

If you’re interested in contributing, read through our four key pillars. If they resonate, you might belong here—write with us.

  • At Devoid, we uphold rigorous ethical standards in our journalism. We diligently observe and engage with the people and communities we cover, ensuring that our stories are both accurate and deeply informed. Our writers are committed to comprehensive research, bringing a thoughtful and nuanced perspective to every topic they explore.

  • In a world saturated with 24/7 media and daily publishers, we believe the most compelling stories emerge from thoughtful observation and attentive listening over time.

  • Once printing costs are covered, any remaining revenue—from print sales, advertising, and individual donor contributions—is allocated to our staff and contributors based on the time commitment for each piece.

  • Everyone has inherent bias. At Devoid, we see that not as a flaw, but as a vital part of storytelling. Rather than pretending objectivity is absolute, we use our perspectives to deepen our understanding of the stories we tell.
